How to Grow Taller

I am not going to lie to you here but the tips on this page are not going to drastically increase your height. You may be able to increase your height by an inch or two, but adding feet to your height just is not going to happen. That being said, the majority of people out there only want to be slightly taller so this should not be that much of a problem.

Right at the top of the list I need to put ‘sleep’. When you sleep, your body goes into repair mode. This is when you start to grow. Human growth hormone, one of the hormones needed to boost your height, is produced when you are asleep. You should be getting at least eight hours of sleep each and every day. You always want to make sure that it is a ‘good’ sleep too. This is because human growth hormone is only produced when you are in the midst of the deepest of sleep.

Being physical fit can also have an impact on your height, although you are going to need to start getting fit early on in life. Later on in life you can make certain activities part of your daily routine. For example; one study discovered that those who swam for 2 hours a day for at least four days of the week could gain a small amount on their size. There are also a few stretches that you can do to help. You will obviously want to be focusing mainly on your legs and back when it comes to those stretches. You can then jump into any sort of cardiovascular activity shortly after to boost your height even more.

There are a few yoga poses which are known to help release human growth hormone in the body. A couple that I suggest you look at include; triangle pose, cobra pose, tree pose, and mountain pose. You should find plenty of information about those online because they are relatively common techniques.

It is important that you have a balanced diet if you want to increase your height. After all, your body will not allocate resources to increasing your size until it is sure that every other bodily function is catered for. Some things you want to get into your diet include; Vitamin D, Proteins, Zinc, and Calcium. There is also some evidence that carbohydrates and magnesium can have an impact on your height. Although you do not want to ‘over eat’ these because they may cause you expand horizontally as opposed to up!

Drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes can also have an impact on your height. They will stunt your growth. If you can avoid taking these when you are younger then you will find that you grow a lot quicker. There are some people out there who will also take steroids. If you are taking steroids for anything but medical usage then you should stop using them. They are also going to be inhibiting your height.
