5 Reasons Why You Should Stop Purchasing Guest Blogging SEO articles

If you are purchasing guest blogging SEO Posts or Articles, then you are doing it wrong. They are a waste of money. In fact; with SEO articles that you have purchased, not only are they going to be a waste of money, but you are going to be harming your company. This means that you are going to be losing even more cash. Is that something you want? (hint: of course, it isn’t).

What is an SEO article?

An article designed for SEO has been designed especially to be found in the search engines. This means that they will be heavily focused on keywords. As a result, they are going to be very poorly written. Not a good thing! There are several downsides to purchasing an SEO article, pretty major downsides too.

Poor Quality

Now, most people think that the purpose of a blog post is to get your site noticed by the search engines. It is…to some degree. When you put a guest post out there, you are going to be placing it on a website which is a whole lot more respected than your one. These websites will have people on there who are keen to find out about the niche that you are operating in. This is a fantastic thing for you. Since the people are keen about what you have to say, then they are much more likely to click through that link and give you some of their cash.  Produce poor quality content? Well, nobody is going to read it. If nobody is reading it, then they aren’t going to buy anything from you. The guest post will hold little value.

If you buy SEO articles, they are not designed for people to read. They are designed for links. They will be packed to the brim with keywords which are just irritating to read. The reader will get halfway through, and they will switch off. In fact; they probably will not even get halfway through. What is the point of having content if people are not going to read it?

Remember; another major benefit of articles is that they get shared through social media. If this happens, not only will you have the initial link from the guest blog, but you will have dozens of social media links out there. This will really pop you up the search engines. If the article is not good, people are just going to be embarrassed sharing it with their friends and family!

Unique Content

People that produce articles tend not to get paid a whole lot for the work that they carry out. This means that they do not have a lot of time to produce something which is of a high quality. The result is twofold:

  • Poor quality content (we have covered this already)
  • Stolen content. It may be a little bit unique, but if the content is not 100% unique then the search engines are not going to rank it highly. If the page is not ranked highly, then you are going to be getting very little in the way of ‘link juice’ from it, which means that the content is going to be effectively worthless.

As you may know, the search engines are becoming ‘smarter’ by the day. They are able to spot content which has been designed to be of no use other than to collect links. If they find your content, then they are going to eliminate from their search algorithms. What does this mean? Well; it means that you are not going to be getting any benefit from it at all. In fact, there is a good chance that your website will be punished for having the links, although this will be a minor punishment, it really will have an impact when you are looking to climb the searches as fast as possible!

Link Stuffing

This is what the search engines really, really loathe. They want links to be as natural as possible. When you purchase SEO articles for guest blogging, the writer is going to go overboard with the incorporation of links. These links will be completely unnatural. The search engines will know that you are putting these articles together for nothing but links, which means that they are going to avoid them. Once again, we must reiterate, the search engines want unique content that people are willing to read. This is how they make their money. They make their money by ensuring that the best quality content appears right at the top of the searches. If it does not, they will have lost a visitor, which means they are not going to make money from them in the future.

When it comes to links, you should have one or two relevant links at the most. There are a few websites out there which seem to have a link every couple of sentences. This is not going to work. In the eyes of the search engines, this is just going to come across as ‘link farming’ and paid links, which is not going to be good for your site.

Waste of money

As you can see, there are a lot of downsides to purchasing SEO articles. So many downsides if fact, that you will probably not want to purchase them at all. If you are going to go down the route of guest blogging then, first and foremost, you want to ensure that the article that is being produced is of the highest possible quality. This means that it does not come across as spam.

You will also want to keep checks on the website that is using the guest post to ensure that they are not spamming it with links and the like. Of course; you will also want to make sure that the site that you are putting the link on is a reputable site. If it is not, then it does not matter how high the quality of the article is, you are not going to get any benefit from it.
